Sampson County GOP Elects New Leadership at Annual Convention
The Sampson County Republican Party held its annual convention on March 20, 2025, marking an important transition in leadership.
The convention saw a strong turnout of delegates, and with the former chair and vice chair choosing not to seek reelection, delegates decided to accept nominations from the floor. A majority voted to elect:
- Chair: Christopher Naylor
- Vice Chair: McKenzie Grady
- Secretary: Natalie McCullen
- Treasurer: Bryan Smith
- At-Large Members: Scott Grantham, Dickie Walters, Daniel Ruggles, Ron Ennis, and Glenn Tart
"We are all excited to begin our new roles with the Republican Party and to support Republicans throughout Sampson County. I love this community and look forward to working alongside our leaders to serve our county in every way possible. We have a great county with great people, and I am eager to collaborate with this outstanding team," said Chair Chris Naylor.
Naylor also expressed gratitude to outgoing leaders Telia Kivett and Marcus Smith for their years of dedicated service. Telia Kivett served as party chair for eight years, dedicating countless hours to strengthening the Republican Party in Sampson County and across the state. Marcus Smith served as vice chair for 12 years under four different chairs. His long-standing leadership speaks volumes about his dedication to the party. "We appreciate their service and contributions to our success," Naylor added.
The Sampson County Republican Party looks forward to building on its momentum and working to support conservative leadership at every level.
